Degree/Requirements: Masters Degree + current NJ APN certification + three years of direct practice experience, at least one year in a community mental health setting. The Psychiatric Advanced Practice Nurse will deliver services in accordance with approved joint protocols and a practice agreement with a collaborating psychiatrist as mandated by law (e.g. prescribe/order medications-new meds. or renewals) and independently under their license where allowable by la! w (e.g.
medication education and counseling). Provide! s psychiatric evaluations, comprehensive health assessments, medication monitoring, medication counseling, psycho-education, consults with other clinical staff, attends staffing meetings and functions as a member of the treatment team.
