Registered as a Professional Nurse in the State of New Jersey. Certified s an Advanced Practice Nurse by the New Jersey board of Nursing. Bachelor's Degree required. Master's Degree in Nursing preferred. Five (5) to seven (7) years of oncology-specific nursing experience in an ambulatory setting preferred. Management experience preferred. Demonstrated leadership qualities required. Outstanding human relations and leadership skills and the! ability to function in a team environment are required. Demon! strated knowledge is necessary to accomplish superior performance in a unionized environment. Effective oral and written communication skills. Must be computer literate with proficiency and working knowledge of database and reporting tools such as Microsoft Word, Excel, Access and PowerPoint.

Responsibilities:
The Senior Director of Oncology Nursing Services (Treatment and Clinic Areas) directs an integrated program of outpatient oncologic services. In partnership with physician and administrative leaders, the Senior Director of Oncology Nursing Services, takes a leadership role in developing and articulating a shared vision and developing a comprehensive strategic plan for the Cancer Institute of New Jersey Infusion Center (and clinic operations) that supports the mission and strategic objectives of Cancer Institute of New Jersey. The purpose of the Senior Director is to facilitate the research mission and ensure the delivery of highly competent, compas! sionate, and effective care for adults receiving cancer treatment at Cancer Institute of New Jersey. This position is responsible for the planning, delivery and evaluation of treatment, triage and clinic services in the Cancer Institute of New Jersey Infusion Center. The Senior Director oversees the operationalization of the resarch mission, ensuring adherence to Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Good Clinical Practice (GCP) guidelines for patients participating in clinical trials. Prepares and manages the operative and capital budgets for the department. Demonstrates a working knowledge of University, TJC & DOH regulations. Implements and maintains evidence-based nursing practice and related QA and PI endeavors. The scope of the position is defined by the Nurse Practice Act of the State of New Jersey and the Standard Operating Procedures set forth by the Cancer Institute of New Jersey. Demonstrates competency in recognizing the unique needs of adult (ages 18-4 years) ! and geriatric (ages 65+) patients.
