Registered Nurse

Description: Somerset Medical Center is at present recruited Registered Nurse right now, this position will be placed in New Jersey. Provide safe, efficient care in PACU through expanding skills and knowledge, integrating the ability to identify aspects of care through prior experience. Demonstrates safe practice within t! he SMC practice model and core values, which reflect our mission. Understands the Magnet culture of nursing excellence, mission, vision, philosophy and values of nursing. Reflects a caring, health approach to the patient with a focus on relationships with patients, families and each other integrating Watson's Theory of Caring.
Promote quality patient outcomes with optimal length of stay while achieving patient satisfaction. Maintain accountability for patients utilizing the nursing process. Demonstrates organizational skills and flexibility in provision of care, perceiving situations as a whole, rather than for individual aspects. Full time evening position (4 PM - 12 AMshift). On-call required.
Qualifications:
Current licensure for the practice of professional nursing in NJ. Current BLS, ACLS required. PALS preferred or must obtain within 6 months. Membership in professional organization and Certification is encouraged. Graduate of an accredite! d nursing program with a BSN degree or actively pursuing. Must! have a minimum of 2 years of critical care experience in an acute care environment. Computer literacy. Cerner experience a plus.
