Unit Secretary
Location: Somerville New Jersey
Description: Somerset Medical Center is at present looking to employ Unit Secretary right now, this job will be placed in New Jersey. Assumes responsibility for the secretarial activities for all Perioperative units (GI, SDC, PAT, OR, Scheduling), serves as relief adjunct staff. Varied duties include heavy telephone interaction! and patient greeter, charge entry and communication between charge RN's and depts. Part Time (56 hours/pay period).
Qualifications:
Knowledge of medical terminology, including medications, and abbreviations required.
Demonstrated skills working with people and customer service orientation. Frequent contact with patients, nursing staff, medical staff and medical center personnel.
Some college preparation preferred.
Heavy volume experience working with computers, including entry for charges and data tracking.
Must be self initiated and able to adapt to different settings and changes in each setting, as they are high stress, and fluctuate by the moment.
