Job Description
Nutrition Care Manager/DTR/CDM
The Nutrition Care Manager you will be responsible for the operation and implementation of the Nutrition Care Program based upon established objectives, standards, policies and procedures. This includes knowledge and implementation of local, state, and federal regulations. They will also perform a variety of duties including the planning a! nd supervision of resident food assembly and service, scheduli! ng, hiring, dismissal and training of resident dining service personnel.
The Nutrition Care Manager will be responsible for providing clinical nutrition services to residents in the skilled nursing unit and will ensuresresident satisfaction, quality care, regulatory compliance and good public relations through safe and efficient use of resources.
Recipe to Succeed:
Supervisory, leadership, management and coaching skills
Good communication skills both written and verbal
Ability to communicate on various levels to include management, patients, residents, client, associate and departmental levels
Knowledge of computational practices
Proficient Computer skills to include; various computer programs, Microsoft Office programs, e-mail and the Internet
Ability to perform various motor skills such as; lifting, reaching, bending, twisting, pushing, pulling, squatting, grasping and arm-hand coordination on a continuous basis
Ability! to get along well with others, to demonstrate flexibility and patience, to work as a member of a team, and to demonstrate a high level of sensitivity and interest in people
Exhibit courtesy, tact and reasonable speed in performance of duties
Necessary Ingredients:
Registered Dietitian by the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR) preferred
Supervisory experience desirable
Experience in long term care community settings is desirable
ServSafe® certified desirable
Must be able to pass criminal background check
