OR Technician

On call weekends, weeknights and holidays in rotation.
- Assists registered nurse in preparing operating room prior to each operation.
- Assists registered nurse and physicians in preparing patient prior to surgery.
- Scrubs and sets up instruments.
- Assists physicians during procedure.
- Assists RN in cleanup and turnover of room between operations and at the end of the day.
- Ensure care of equipment and supplies.

On call weekends, weeknights and holidays in rotation.
Minimum Qualifications
- Successful completion of nationally or regionally educational program for surgical technologies.
- Holds and maintains a certified surgical technologists credential administered by the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting or its successor, or other nationally recognized credentialing organization or completion of training program Public Health Service Commissioned Corps.
- Be employed as a surgical technologist in a health care facility as of December 20, 2011.
- Current BLS prior to completion of department orientation.
- Minimum of six months OR Tech experience preferred. Orthopedic experience preferred.
- Position will rotate into evening shift for coverage.
