Position Summary :
NCC is seeking an experienced Assistant Director of Nursing (ADON) to join its dynamic staff. In this role, the ADON will assist the Director of Nursing in the planning, organizing, developing and directing of the daily operations of the nursing department in accordance with Federal, State and Local standards, guidelines; regulations governing the facility and in accordance with NCC’s established policies and procedures. The ADON will report to the Director of Nursing; however, may be directed by Administrator and Medic! al Director to ensure the highest quality of care is maintaine! d.
IDEAL QUALITIES AND EXPERIENCE
The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes and experience:
Ø Ability to demonstrate patience, tact, enthusiasm and a positive attitude toward the elderly and disabled
Ø Ability to provide leadership and ensuring the mission, vision and values of the organization are supported through the delivery of services
Ø Experience monitoring the effectiveness of Department activity through quality assurance procedures
Ø Knowledge of federal, state and local regulations with experience ensuring services are provided in accordance with these regulations, accepted clinical standards and; organization policy and standards
Ø Ability to assist in the coordination and management of nursing and personal care services provided to residents; provides nursing services to residents as needed
Ø Demonstrates the ability to document assessments; treatment plan evaluations a! nd/or clinical notes
Ø Ability to communicate effectively in English, both orally and in writing, and respect for the principles of resident rights
Ø Earned a Bachelor’s of Nursing Degree from an accredited School of Nursing
Ø Be professionally licensed in the State of New Jersey as a Registered Nurse with at least 3 years of proven management experience in a licensed health care/ long term care facility and staff inservicing.
