Performs a variety of supportive and direct care functions, under the direction of an RN, enabling patient to perform daily hygienic, nutritional, ambulatory and other activit! ies.
Performs a variety of supportive and direct care functions (basic oxygen therapy, heat and cold applications, basic dressings, antiembolism and sequential pressure stockings).
Provides personal care (bathing, mouth care, (incontinence care) to patients.
Provides for nutrition of patients (feeds, monitors tube feedings, delivers nourishment, counts calories, weighs patients.)
Performs Phlebotomy and stocks Phlebotomy and IV trays for unit.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent.
One year previous experience as a nurse aide in a health care setting or less than one year experience and enrolled in an accredited school of nursing.
