Monitors patient satisfaction. Conducts clinical rou! nds.
Performs primary care, as necessary. Maintains environmental safety. Maintains orderly flow of admissions and discharges. Coordinates activities and interacts effectively with other units and medical staff to manage the patient care environment.
Covers other units, as required.Plans daily assignments. Creates/approves monthly schedule. Communicates staffing plan/needs to scheduling office. Maintains employee records.
Coordinates and implements recruitment and retention activities.Encourages and facilitates professional growth and development of staff. Maintains employee education records. Ensures staff compliance with standards set by regulatory agencies. Writes yearly staff appraisals.
Facilitates flow of information from other departments to staff. Coordinates education programs for staff. Evaluates staff performance on an ongoing basis. Performs employee counseling as necessary.
Participates and/or chairs committees and/o! r meetings as assigned. Designs, implements, and evaluates per! formance improvement activities based upon patient satisfaction surveys. Participates in pilot studies of new products and research project as necessary. Prepares reports and maintains statistics on performance improvement.
Develops yearly goals for area of responsibility.Prepares and monitors operational and capital budget. Monitors unit supplies and equipment. Reviews non-productive time for each employee. Monitors use of overtime and supplemental staff.
Develops plans to address variances. Maintains clinical and management expertise. Attends conferences, workshops, seminars pertinent to position.
