We are currently recruiting for a Senior Clinical Application Analyst to join our IT team in our Secaucus, NJ Data Center. The Sr. Application Analyst will support clinical applications, implementations, and the development of ongoing support/development strategies and be able to provide guidance to fellow application analysts. The ideal candidate will provide specific clinical subject matter expertise in regards to clinical workflows for end users who include but are not limited to MDs, NPs, Nurses, Clinical technicians, etc.
Responsibilities:
Management and coordination of analysis, design, development,! QA testing, validation and implementation of a variety of cli! nical applications
Interacts well with clinical end users and other IT professionals
Assumes ownership of assigned applications and analysts
Accountability for his/her decisions and actions
Understands, or is willing to learn and apply the philosophy, tools and techniques of the systems development life cycle to assigned projects
Understands the use of business/clinical applications, which assist in the management and processing of clinical information and delivery of health care services
Collaborate closely with - and communicate between - IT leadership and the clinical community to provide leadership for clinical systems projects and initiatives
Assist in the development of policies and procedures
Must be able to manage multiple projects and processes at the same time
Must be able to manage time well, be able to solve problems proactively, be detail-oriented and be goal-oriented
Effective written, oral, interpersonal and relationshi! p-building skills
Can conform to shifting priorities, demands and timelines through analytical and problem solving capabilities
Strong customer service orientation and team building skills
Individuals must have strong presentation skills, handle tight deadlines, and be creative
Train, educate, and instruct analysts
Collaborate with management concerning strategies, budgeting, and project planning
Responsible for management of personnel, including but not limited to, daily operations, evaluations, payroll
Ma nagement of problem tickets, service requests, and other administrative tasks
Experiences and/or Skills required:
Will have 3-5 years background as a Clinical Systems Analyst designing and implementing clinical systems and a strong interest and aptitude for technology.
Knowledge of HL7 in a healthcare environment
Proficient using MS Office suite including Visio.
K nowledge of Windows and other operating systems ! on both servers and PCs required.
Knowledge of desktop support meth! odologies required and basic troubleshooting skills.
Clustering, high availability, and disaster recovery skills desired
Must have demonstrated examples of providing Root Cause Analysis.
Experience with IT physical infrastructure environments, Data Center hardware platforms and complex infrastructure environments
Education Required:
College diploma or university degree in the field of computer science, information sciences, life sciences or related field and/or 6 years equivalent work experience
Minimum of 4 years clinical knowledge is preferred
RN license a plus
