Market Access has developed into a mission critical factor for pharma, which is determining to a large extent the commercial value of all products and projects of! BSP. The Global Market Access organization support bringing products t! o patients in the most value-generating way, by enabling BSP to successfully manage the market access levers in close interaction with stakeholders.

The incumbent will:

  • Develop and implement health outcomes and economic strategies and plans supporting medical and marketing programs for therapeutic area that positively impact market access.
  • Develop submissions to health technology assessment agencies to obtain reimbursement.
  • Responsible for the development of value messages.
  • Responsible for the overall quality of output.
  • Align GHEOR strategy with a therapeutic area team (clinical and marketing).
  • Work closely with diverse staff members and provide assistance in a hands-on manner with products in assigned therapeutic area.
  • Support of products as well as supporting others actively supporting products that have primary support responsibilities.
  • Responsible for l Budget of (Studies): up to! 2 Mio €
  • Develop global market access strategies and plans
  • Gain earlier market access and/or improve reimbursement coverage/formulary listing at Company target price. Once on the market, secure and expand pricing/reimbursement positions.
The selected candidate is required to possess the following:
  • Doctoral degree (PhD, DrPH, ScD) in health services research, public health, epidemiology, or health economics or a Doctoral degree in a clinical discipline (medicine, pharmacy, nursing) with at least 3 years of experience working in Outcomes Research in a pharmaceutical company or a Master†s degree (MSc, MPH) in health services research, public health, epidemiology, or health economics with at least 5 years† experience working in Outcomes Research in a pharmaceutical company
  • Indepth knowledge in all of the following: Pharmacoepidemiology, Pharmacoeconomics, and Quality of Life research.
  • Excellent interperson! al skills required: ability to understand and respond to multiple inter! nal and external customers† demands and manage and handle conflict constructively with limited supervisory support required.
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills required.
  • In depth knowledge of clinical research, especially clinical drug studies
  • Excellent judgment in conflict management, negotiation, and influence.
  • Excellent process and project management skills required.
  • Hands on experience in the evaluation of health care interventions and conducting health economics, health related quality of life, and/or health services research studies for a pharmaceutical company
  • In depth knowledge of global health care systems and understand needs for health technology assessment and market access.
  • Experience in preparing or reviewing materials for reimbursement
  • Salary and grade level will be commensurate with experience and/or education level
