By proactively identifying strategic market access drivers and ensuring
that the payor perspective is integrated in every stage of a product†s lifecycle, global Market Access supports the efficient development of differentiated products thereby generating value for patients, physicians, and payors. This position will assume the role of the Deputy Di! rectpr Global HEOR for one or more drug products and therapeutic areas ! and is in charge of all aspects
of health economics and outcomes assessments for those products, from entry into Phase II to entry into Phase IV and will be responsible for developing Global HEOR.

The incumbent will:

  • Lead the development and execution of a global, comprehensive, and scientifically rigorous GHEOR program that is aligned with the commercial and market access strategies for the brand(s).
  • Ensure that the market access and payer perspective is integrated in the target product profile, the clinical development program(s), and in the commercial strategy of the brand(s).
  • Provide timely and strategic recommendations to clinical development programs by identifying appropriate comparators, target patient populations, and end-points (clinical, economic, as well as patient reported outcomes) aimed at ensuring differentiation for the purpose of relative value demonstration.
  • Provide economically justifiable targe! t price ranges based on the evidence generation plans to inform business cases and strategic scenarios to optimize the commercial potential of a brand from a GHEOR perspective
  • Develop submissions to various health technology assessment (HTA) agencies in securing reimbursement
  • Develop value propositions and proactively identifying evidence requirements to support relative value demonstration and product differentiation.
  • Represent the GHEOR function, managing effective communications with various internal global/regional teams, including global brand team (s) and global project team(s), as well as appropriate
The selected candidate is required to possess the following:
  • Masters degree (MSc, MPH) in health services research, public health, epidemiology, or health economics required.
  • 5 years† experience working in Outcomes Research and closely related area preferably with a strong focus on GHEOR and in a pharma! ceutical company.
  • Indepth knowledge in following areas prefera! ble: Pharmacoepidemiology, Pharmacoeconomics, and Quality of Life research.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills required: ability to understand and respond to multiple internal and external customers demands and manage and handle conflict constructively with limited supervisory support required.
  • Excellent oral and written English communication skills required.
  • In depth knowledge of clinical research, especially clinical drug studies
  • Excellent judgment in conflict management, negotiation, and influence.
  • Excellent process and project management skills required.
  • Hands on experience in the evaluation of health care interventions and conducting health economics, health related quality of life, and/or health services research studies for a pharmaceutical company
  • In depth knowledge of global health care systems and understand needs for health technology assessment and market access.
  • Experience in preparing or revie! wing materials for reimbursement
  • Ability to manage a significant volume of projects with exercise of good triage and judgment skills
  • Publication experience
Preferred qualifications:
  • Doctoral degree (PhD, DrPH, ScD) in health services research, public health, epidemiology, or health economics or a Doctoral degree in a clinical discipline (medicine, pharmacy, nursing) preferred.
  • Project management skills and cross functional team leadership experience is desirable.
