Aspire Healthcare Search has been retained by Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital in New Brunswick, New Jersey, to conduct a search for an Operating Room Nursing Director. One of the nation's leading academic medical centers, Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital provides state-of-the-art care across the full range of health care services. Specialties include cardiac care from screening to heart surgery and transplantation, cancer care, emergency medicine, pediatrics and maternal-fetal medicine. RWJUH is the principal teaching hospital of the University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey's Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. It is also the hub of a clinically-integrated medical campus that includes the NCI-designated Cancer Institute of New Jersey, the Child Health Institute of New Jersey and The Bristol-Myers Squibb Children's Hospital. In this role, the Director will be responsible for the financial, clinical and operational performance of the Operating Room. The hospital's OR performs approximately 17,5000 procedures per year in 23 OR suites. Specialty suites include hybrid OR for endovascular surgery, cystoscopy suite, intraoperative MRI and pediatric suites. Services include trauma, cardiac, transplant (heart, kidney and pancreas), orthopaedics (total joints, trauma and sports medicine), ortho and neuro adult and pediatric complex spine cases, neurosurgery and robotics (urology, gyn-oncology, colorectal, gyn and cardiac). Requirements include: Minimum 5 years progressive operating room management experience with greater than 12 operating suites. Academic experience preferred BSN required, MSN/MBA preferred. CNOR required Strong clinical and financial background. Financial to include labor and supply management. Knowledgeable of TJC, AORN and AAMI Standards Demonstrated experience wit metrics and methods for determining measureable results; experience with process improvement initiatives using Lean or Six sigma methodologies a strong plus Ability to build teams and mentor managers and staff Excellent oral and written communication skills To be considered for this position, please contact Betsy Warner at bwarner@aspire-1.com
